Wedding Trend: Wedding Music Videos!

Couples who hire a videographer are looking to have their wedding memories captured in a unique way that they can enjoy for years to come.  An emerging trend has been for couples to have their videographer create a music video of their wedding day.  Now, couples are begining to take this trend to a whole new level by having a music video created using footage of their wedding day AND footage of them lip singing the song during their wedding day!

This is an example of the present trend of having wedding footage set to a song to create a music video:

Here are two examples of the new trend in which couples (and even guests) are "singing" the song:

Bridal Guide Magazine has several tips they share on how to create a music video of your wedding day:

Learn the Lyrics: Make sure anyone you plan to include in the singing portion knows the words by heart; your video will look much more natural if you're not studying the sheet right before the shot!

Watch the Original Video: The videographer, Elysium Productions, gathered inspiration from Cobra Starship's video. This enabled them to pre-produce graphics and wording.

Make a Timeline: The couple's planner, Carolyn Chen of The Special Day, coordinated the schedule to ensure that Ella and Sam had time to film their video without taking away from their big day. This also meant coordinating with the other vendors, like lighting and photo booth, to make sure everything was in the right place when it was time to film.
(Power Wedding Planning may be the perfect coordinator for you if you are in the Green Bay area!)

Create a Shot List: The biggest challenge is making sure that you have every word covered! Elsyium Productions created a shot list to prevent any mishaps.
